Hans, Kai, and Slit The path had been long and hard, leading the trio in many different directions, but in the end, the three Akita's found themselves standing before a massive waterfall and lake in the Ohu lands. "Look at how beautiful it is!"
the black and white female howled to the two males behind her, as she ran ahead of the two males, barreling right into the water and turning to watch as the two males exited the cover of the forest around them. From above, it honestly looked like there was only one male following the playful female, as only Hans stepped forward, while his brother, Kai, stayed behind in the shadows, waiting to make sure they were safe. In fact, within a few moments of Hans exiting the shadows, Kai was gone, checking out the area around the lake and waterfall. "Slit . . . Come out of the water . . . and keep quiet," the cream and dark brown Akita whispered under his breath, as he skirted the water, keeping an eye on the ridge above them, while also looking for Kai's movements, least something go wrong and he might be needed. From the corner of his eye, he could see Slit slowly trudging from the water, shaking out her pelt, spraying water on him. "SLIT!" Hans howled, quickly shutting his muzzle with a clip as he looked about, not wanting to alert the dogs that ran the land to their presence just yet.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

A howl was heard, but it wasn't from the small Shikoku that traveled through the forest. It did make her stop in caution, but it was a howl of excitement. She let out a small snarl and headed into the direction the howl came from. She stopped once she saw three Akitas. Her fur began to rise and she headed out into the open.
"Whoa are you?" she asked, a sharp snarl in her voice. It was clear that these dogs were older than her by at least 2 years, but that didn't stop her. For all she knew these dogs were part of Ohu.

Hans, Kai, and Slit With the sight of his adopted sister shaking out her pelt in his gaze, Hans visibly tensed as he heard an alien snarl. Pivoting on his back paws, Hans turned to glare at the small Shikoku not far from he and Slit. She was a small little creature, of the same ancestors as their Akita blood, but branched many times. "Who are you?" the Shikoku growled, though she didn't smell of the pack around them that controlled the land.
"You should answer your own question,"
growled a shadow from behind Shikoku. Slowly, Kai exited the shadows, his brindled pelt slowly releasing the shadows as he stepped up behind the small Shikoku, towering over her. "Speak quickly, Shikoku," Kai growled, baring sharp, ivory fangs below salmon pink gums. As Kai departed from the shadows, Slit stopped shaking and looked to the brute that she depended on. As his tone became deadly, her stance took on a slowly forming deadly stand, which caused Hans to step between the other female and Slit. "Enough . . . Both of you," he growled to his sibling and traveling companion. "We are simple travelers, young one. . . . Passing through on our way to Ohu Mountain to speak with the Leader of the Ohu dogs. And yourself?" he questioned, his head cocked to one side, regarding the Shikoku closely.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The small Shikoku Inu growled at the one who came from the shadows. She was about to say something, but the other male Akita stopped all of them and said a few things to her. Her pelt flattened and her ears perked up on top of her head. She felt a bit embarrassed when she heard they weren't from Ohu.
"Oh... sorry.... I thought you were part of Ohu. I came up here to talk to the Ohu leader, more like challenge them actually. I'm Hiashi, by the way," she said, but said nothing more. She lightly bowed her head to all three Akitas in apology and sat down.
"I've been traveling all the way from Shikoku to get to Ohu and when I finally meet some dogs in the territory I got scared and defensive," she added, looking at the female.

Hans, Kai, and Slit When Hans ordered them to stop, Kai took a step away from the Shikoku but didn't move far. It was like he was the smaller dog's large shadow, waiting to consume her if she made one wrong move. Of course, with him relaxed, Slit calmed and returned to the normal Slit Hans and Kai knew.
At the mention of a challenge, Kai's auds perked, and Hans glared at his brother. ee8833]"Challenge? The Ohu dogs don't have a leader?"
he questioned, head cocked to one side, while he regarded his brother over Hiashi. "I am Hans . . . That is my brother, Kai, and our friend, Slit," Hans spoke, nodding to each dog as he spoke, yet waiting for Hiashi to answer him.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"They have three, but I wish to get one of their positions as leader. I know of two of them. One is a Malamute and wolf mix named Nikko, a female. The other is a Husky and German Shepherd mix named Rokku Kiba, a male. Both of them are strong," Hiashi stated, informing the kai dogs. Her ears perked as she heard rustling in the bushes behind her. She quickly jumped to her paws and turned, looking straight at the bushes.
"So you know about me, huh? Please excuse my manners. I am the Rokku you were just talking about. Now, if I may ask, what are you dogs doing on Ohu territory?" A deep voice asked, as a large husky mix came out of the bushes with a few dogs following him. His head was held high with pride and his muscles were well built from the battles and the traveling he has done. It was clear that he was a leader.

Hans, Kai, Slit, and Nikko The information about the Ohu leaders was useful; however, when a massive brute appeared, Hans figured the information helped them out very little. He felt Slit press her muzzle into his left flank, while Kai moved to his right, setting up their traditional walking formation. It was strange that these little details were coming to him now, when they were useless.
With the arrival of the Ohu dogs, another voice reached their audits, as from behind them, the shadows parted, giving way to an equally large rust red female, with a wolfish look about her. She said nothing, but held and air around her of a leader, one that was patient and ready but also ready and willing to fight if it was asked of her.
"I didn't even see hide or hair of anyone else, but Hiashi when I went looking,"
Kai informed Hans, turning around to face the wolf/dog, his motion followed by Slit, leaving Hans to watch the front and Kai and Slit to watch the back. Both Akita's at his back were growling at the scent of wolf that leaked off the female behind him. Hans could understand Kai's discomfort and tapped his brother's back paw with his. "We are simply passing through," Hans offered, wanting to calm his brother before the Akita did something he would regret. The rust red female was at least twice Kai's size and more than willing to put him in his place. "We heard rumors of the Ohu dogs from the Kai Ken clan that took us in as pups. We wish to possibly join your pack and serve you as long as we can," he offered, lowering his head a bit in grace to Rokku. From behind Hans, Nikko snorted, causing Kai to growl louder. She watched, almost bored like, while the brindle Akita lowered himself to the ground, ready to pounce on her if she made even the slightest of movements that upset him. "And you, Shikoku?" she questioned, her voice smooth, soft, not one that belonged to a leader of a pack of dogs.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Hiashi looked at Rokku and then turned to look at the wolf dog. She felt nervous around both of them. They had an aura about them. Both of them had fighting spirits and they looked very difficult to beat. Not like the ones who had invaded Shikoku a few months ago. She bowed her head to the Malamute mix.
"I have come to challenge one of the leaders, but to tell you the truth, I am not so sure I will win," she replied, deciding to tell the truth. She heard many of the Ohu dogs laughing, including Rokku. She felt small compared to all of them. "I, instead, wish to join the pack as well," she added once the laughing died down.
Rokku looked at all four dogs. "Three Kai dogs and a Shikoku want to join Ohu. It is a great addition, but tell me first. Can you all with stand being around dogs with fighting spirit?" he asked, looking at Hiashi.
"How about listening with out back talk?" he asked, looking at Kai. "Or being with out the protection of you siblings 24/7?" he asked, looking at Slit. "How about giving up your role of leadership to three dogs you do not know," he asked, looking at Hans.
"If not, than you are not welcome here, but if so, than you are gladly welcomed into the pack. We will have to fix some attitude problems, though," he added walking around the small group of dogs, to examine them.

Hans, Kai, Slit, and Nikko Listening as Rokku spoke, Nikko cocked her head to the side, regarding only Kai as something about the dog bothered her. There was something about her that bothered him so badly he was literally shaking in anger and fear at the sight of her, yet she had only said a few words. Slowly, so as not to upset the Akita, she paced around the four dogs and stood beside Rukko, her body sideways, one side facing the four loners while the other faced the Ohu dogs. There she waited for their answer, knowing neither she, nor Rokku would stand for just one answering for all. They would have to answer their selected question alone.
With Nikko's movement, Kai flipped around, Slit doing the same. Hans blocked his brother from the wolf/dog, but nodded without a second thought. "The Kai Ken clan spoke highly of the Ohu dogs. The leader of the Kai Ken said current leaders were wise and strong, able to keep the Ohu dogs going until a true leader was found. He said we would be safe and learn much from the Ohu pack,"
Hans spoke, watching Nikko and Rokku, watching how they seemed to control the dogs that backed Rokku without much effort. "If you two are the dogs the Kai Ken leader spoke of . . . then yes, I will give up my role of leadership to follow in your paw prints," Hans spoke, bowing his head to Rokku and Nikko. From behind him, Slit looked at the bowed figure of Hans, then to Kai who seemed rooted to the spot. She didn't see him following Hans into this, yet a surprised sound escaped her muzzle as Kai, too, bowed his head to Rokku and Nikko, but kept one eye on the wolf/dog, not showing her his neck just yet. His trust would have to be earned, just like Slit would have to be. Thus, as stubbornly as Kai did, Slit bowed her head to the two Ohu dogs, only to look up when there was a soft growl from above her. "Bowing gets you nowhere if there are no words sworn with it," Nikko was growling, glaring daggers at both Kai and Slit, though the most heated stare was directed at Slit. "To follow blindly will get you killed," she growled, daring Slit to speak back to her.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rokku looked at Hiashi, Kai, and Slit, waiting. His eyes were hard and waiting. All of them were young dogs and he only got one answer. He wanted more. "Well?" he asked, taking a step closer to the four. He noticed the Shikoku flinch back and take a step towards the three Akitas.
Hiashi suddenly froze when she noticed all the dogs look at her. She shrank back a bit and once again many laughs were heard through out the Ohu dogs, yet the leaders stayed quiet. Her eyes hardened and she immediately stood up straight, looking back at all the Ohu dogs. The laughs died down as they waited for her answer. "I can learn to be brave," she replied, her voice shaking, but her body standing firm. She bowed her head.

Hans, Kai, Slit, and Nikko With Rokku taking a step closer to the four loners, Nikko sat back on her haunches, bushy plume of a tail wrapping around her four paws, her tongue lolling out of her muzzle as she watched her leader speak to the loners. It took her back, to the day she had come to the Ohu dogs, asking to be allowed into the pack. What a day . . . One she quickly pushed from her mind and focused on the task at hand.
Hans lifted his head and glanced over at Kai, who had also lifted his head and regarded his brother with dead eyes. "I can't chose this path for you, Kai . . . You knew when we left the Kai Ken clan that I was on my way here to join the Ohu pack,"
the brother spoke, "As did you, Slit," he stated, looking to the black and white female. With that being said, Hans took two steps toward his brother and rested his muzzle on Kai's shoulder, slowly rubbing his nose in the silver brindle fur and breathing in deeply, hoping this wasn't the last time he saw his brother. Slowly, he pulled away, and moved to Slit, doing the same, grinning as he heard Kai growl. "He does care, little one . . . Just don't let him walk all over you. Stand up for yourself and be a little bolder. It might get you him," Hans whispered, before pulling back and slowly turning. The cream and white Akita moved past Rokku, bowing his head to his new leader, and moving to stand slightly behind Nikko, close to the other Ohu dogs. As Hans walked to the Ohu dogs, Slit looked to Kai, then to Hans, Nikko, Rokku, then back to Kai. "Kai . . . I'm going with Hans," Slit spoke softly, stepping toward the brindle male that she loved. "I have spent my whole life depending on others. The Kai Ken clan . . . Hans . . . You . . . It's time for me to learn how to stand on my own paws and grow up," she stated, leaning in as Hans had and laying her muzzle against Kai's back. "Maybe when I've finished my training, I will be a worthy mate for you," she whispered, moving slowly back and turning to face Rokku, Nikko, and the other Ohu dogs. To show her new independence, she went and stood beside the Ohu dogs that had followed Rokku. With both his brother and female having joined the Ohu dogs, Kai was forced to stand before them, alone and tense. His gaze turned to Nikko, which only caused him the horrid reminder of the wolves that had rejected him and scarred him, but at the same time it made him want to fight. To become stronger. Sighing, he lowered his head to her, doing his best not to growl when he spoke. "Know that I am silent," was all he stated, clapping his ears against his head as he heard Slit yip to him.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rokku smiled at all four dogs. "Welcome to Ohu," he said, looking at each of them. He then looked at Nikko. "We need to take them to Gajou," he said, before walking into the bushes and bounding back towards the large pile of rocks, the leaders called home. He heard many paw steps behind him, which told him everyone was following him. He looked at one dog and nodded to him.
The one dog took the lead and Rokku fell back so he was beside the two female dogs, Hiashi and Slit. "Its really interesting you know," he said, before getting a questioning look from the Shikoku. "Its interest why two beautiful females want to become stronger to fight. Surely you would want to rather have pups instead of worrying about your lives 24/7," he said.
Hiashi looked at Rokku and shook her head. "You know, what else is interesting?" she asked, before she got the same questioning look from Rokku. "Why you can't choose one girl to flirt with instead of every one you meet," she retorted.
Rokku's ears flattened to his head in embarrassment and many chuckles were heard throughout the group of dogs.

Hans, Kai, Slit, and Nikko Following Rokku's order, Nikko ran along behind the Shepherd mix, keeping an eye on the two new males, while she thought Rokku was going to play nice for once, but soon her audits were graced with the sound of Rokku flirting with Hiashi and Slit. She sighed, shaking her head as she ran along behind the other Ohu leader.
"Does he do that with all females?"
Hans questioned Nikko, catching the female off guard, as hardly any dog spoke to her besides Rokku and a few other Ohu dogs. As they ran, Nikko only nodded, noticing Kai had dropped back, but his hard, cold eyes were no longer on her, but on Rokku now. This caused her to growl, catching the brindle Akita's attention and turning his hate-filled orbs back on her. She pushed herself forward, pulling alongside Rokku and the two new females. "Leave them, Rokku. Don't stir blood between Ohu," she growled, nodding back to Kai, who's orbs were back on Rokku. The wolf/dog dipped her head to Slit and Hiashi, before breaking away from the group and disappearing off on her own. She wanted to watch, but would be close if needed. With Rokku's sudden unwanted attention, Slit almost dropped back to run alongside Kai and Hans, but stopped herself at Hiashi's words. She agreed, nodding her head to both Hiashi and Nikko as the wolf/dog appeared, then disappeared. "We are not just breeding mutts, but able body fighters. Take what you get and leave us alone," she growled a warning, turning her attention back to running.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rokku snorted a bit, but pulled back up along front. He glanced back at the two females, but got a warning growl from the Shikoku. He turned back to see where he was going. Just in time too. They made it to Gajou. He slowed to a walk and the small Ohu group disperse through out the other mingling pack members.
Hiashi slowed to a walk as well, but stayed near Slit, Hans, and Kai. She felt safe around the three Kai dogs for some odd reason. She looked around. The pack was pretty big. She noticed different breeds of dogs from Chihuahuas to large German Shepherds. She smiled, her tail wagging.

Hans, Kai, Slit, and Nikko Once to the mass of towering rocks, Slit stood apart from Hans and Kai, but stood near Hiashi. "Gajou,"
Slit whispered, looking up at the massive structure before her. She glanced to Kai, seeing the brindle Akita looking around at all the gathered Ohu dogs. This place what their home now. Her attention was drawn to the small groups of dogs that were talking in a hushed tone, but stopped talking when they noticed that she was looking at them. "Rokku . . . Where would you like us?" Hans questioned, as he looked around at the dogs, while he felt Kai beside him. Gajou, no matter what everyone thought, was a truly beautiful place, not as beautiful as looking at the Ohu Mountains during the sunrise, but still a lovely place. As Rokku and the others reached it, Nikko slowly climbed up the back side of the structure, moving around through the inner tunnels to the front, til she was looking down at the Ohu dogs and the newest members. She sat back on her haunches, tail wrapped around her paws, as she watched what Rokku was going to do with the new dogs.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
